PRO: Itz Fitz Music/ASCAP
PATRICK FITZSIMMONS-- The former member of From Good Homes (RCA), a folk/rock band based in New Jersey, moved to Vermont in 1999 and embarked on a solo singer/songwriter career. Since then, Fitzsimmons has released several albums. Through the recording of his 2008 release, "So Beautiful So Blue", Patrick battled cancer, recording on his "good" days. His newest release, "Hope Is" (2012), is the definitive statement after that victorious battle. He continues to tour the Northeast winning over audiences with his soulful and captivating performances. Fitzsimmons is a three-time Ploughshares songwriting contest finalist and has had his songs placed in several independent films. As one of the top-charting artists at Folk DJ, in the top five most added Americana artists, and in the top 15 of the Roots Music Report, AAA editor, John Schoenberger, calls "So Beautiful So Blue" one of the great releases. His song, "The Girl With the Sad Eyes" was nominated for the 2009 Just Plain Folks Music Awards held in Nashville. During his career, Patrick has shared the stage with Bob Dylan, The Dave Matthews Band, Ellis Paul, Lucy Kaplansky, Joan Osborne, Shawn Colvin, and Dar Williams.
